This vibrant design depicts a nativity scene detail from an original 1650 alter frontal. The three kings are depicted in the early 17th century court dress, Mary and Joaeph are in the more modest clothing of the time. The orginal embroidery would have been stitched by several amateur embroiderer's of different levels so if your technique varies, don't worry, its how the orginal would have looked.
